Now that Biden is president, will anything be done about the FCC and the catastrophically dangerous “Race to 5G”?
The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) is supposed to protect Americans by regulating the telecom industry. Instead, it has catered to the industry for decades (see 1, 2). During the Trump administration, lawsuits were filed against it for NOT protecting the public from unsafe levels of cell phone and WiFi radiation (see 1, 2) as well as 5G on Earth (see 1, 2, 3, 4) and in space.
Federal agencies as well as credible experts and organizations claim that 5G threatens aviation safety, jobs, national security, public safety, and weather forecasting accuracy (see 1, 2, 3, 4). Last month, the Government Accountability Office acknowledged major challenges with deployment as well. Nevertheless, the 5G Auction seems to be continuing in the Biden administration, and the Department of Defense (DoD) supports deployment. Of course, the DoD also wants to run 5G which made some legislators and organizations unhappy too.

WASHINGTON — The Defense Department will focus on preventing interference to aviation instruments rather than trying to stop the Federal Communications Commission from auctioning C-band spectrum used for 5G communication, officials tell Defense News.
The Pentagon’s decision comes despite industry’s concerns about the functionality of a key aviation technology, which led to a Dec. 1 memo from the head of the Federal Aviation Administration and the number two at the Department of Transportation requesting the FCC pause the sale. The letter was sent after an aviation trade group found that 5G operations could cause harmful interference to radar altimeters, which are used by civil, military and commercial airplanes and helicopters to measure the distance between the aircraft and the ground.
But rather than push back at the FCC, Pentagon officials believe their energies are best spent focused on studying how the deployment of 5G networks throughout U.S. metropolitan areas will impact military aircraft and putting in place a strategy to mitigate any safety concerns, said Alan Burke, the Pentagon’s chair for the interagency Aviation Cyber Initiative Task Force.
Cities AND entire countries have taken action to ban, delay, halt, and limit 5G installation AS WELL AS issue moratoriums on deployment. The majority of scientists worldwide oppose deployment.
American 5G opposition continues to increase for a variety of reasons (see 1, 2, 3, 4), some of which have been the topic of several “Dilbert” cartoons.

High-speed internet is achievable, safer and more secure with a wired internet connection (see 1, 2) – not 5G or WiFi. Americans have paid to have this already (see 1, 2, 3, 4, 5). In 2019, telecom executives gave congressional testimony that they had NO independent scientific evidence that 5G is safe. Research has already determined that it’s not. Despite repeated requests by doctors and scientists (see 1, 2), the FCC refuses to update 24-year-old federal radiation exposure guidelines.
Since 2017, doctors and scientists have asked for 5G moratoriums on Earth and in space due to health and environmental risks (see 1, 2). Since 2018 there have been reports of people and animals experiencing symptoms and illnesses after 5G was installed (see 1, 2, 3, 4).
Americans opposed to 5G may sign this letter asking President Biden and Vice President Harris to stop deployment.
