How can we protect ourselves from the loss of our freedoms in another “pandemic” or other “emergency”? Although we were told in 2020 that COVID was a “once in a century pandemic”, the World Health Organization, World Economic Forum, Anthony Fauci, and Bill Gates are all warning us now that yet another pandemic is imminent. Bill Gates’ book How to Prevent the Next Pandemic will be available on Amazon on June 6. On March 12, the New York Times discussed How to Prepare for the Next Pandemic. In Stopping the next one: What could the next pandemic be?, the BBC salivated over the possibility of yet more pandemics. Top scientists warn ‘the Top scientists warn ‘the next pandemic is coming and we’re not ready’ was an April 16 warning by The Independent. Amazon has a plethora of books on the next pandemic as though it’s an imminent inevitability.

WHO Pandemic Treaty Threatens National Sovereignty

It’s not just Big Pharma that can’t be blindly trusted, but also Big Brother — whether national government or now increasing attempts at global government.

The World Health Organization’s Pandemic Treaty is under discussion now. The Heritage Foundation weighed in with Why the US Should Oppose the New Draft WHO Pandemic Treaty by pointing out:

Despite its failure during COVID-19 and complicity in China’s cover-up, the World Health Organization (WHO) has drafted a new global pandemic treaty. The draft treaty focuses on expanding WHO power, trampling intellectual property rights. The U.S. should not join this treaty as drafted and Congress must ensure that the Administration does not circumvent Senate approval on any treaty.

(T)here are already global and multilateral initiatives aiming to address future pandemics, including The Pandemic Fund managed by the World Bank, Working Group on Amendments to the International Health Regulations (2005), the 100 Days Mission, the pandemic treaty, and more.

Many of these future pandemic initiatives are inter-related, affirming the notion that global health emergencies require globally-coordinated efforts across numerous domains such as scientific research, financing, manufacturing and trade, international law, human rights/ethics, and so forth. Among the diverse and uneven future pandemics efforts underway, the negotiations for a legally-binding instrument to govern all countries reflects both global political theatre as well as the limited mechanisms of the global governance system to motivate, guide, and enforce state actions. More fundamentally, it is not clear if the most consequential lessons from the current pandemic have been widely recognised and accepted by global actors and are being reflected in the future pandemics discussions.…

More fundamental questions are left ignored such as what qualifies as a pandemic, and when does it start or end? Or who should have the authority to declare the start and end of a pandemic?

In Biden’s WHO pandemic treaty would kill Americans in the name of ‘equity’, the New York Post warned on March 1:

President Joe Biden’s diplomats are negotiating a treaty with the World Health Organization to promote “global health equity.” The premise is that in a pandemic or other worldwide disease emergency, Americans should not get better or faster health care than inhabitants of third world countries. If Biden rams this through, Americans will suffer and die needlessly. The treaty is so outrageous that it would never get approved by two-thirds of the Senate, as the US Constitution requires. But the administration is indicating it may try an end run around that requirement, deeming it an international agreement instead.

People of the Global South are organizing to change the global health order. The pandemic years have seen unprecedented R&D funding for African nations, and increased vaccine manufacturing capacity, including for mRNA vaccines. Other important lessons have been learned, too. India now knows it cannot be the only pharmacy for the developing world in a pandemic. The new reality is that a global response cannot be built around donations, charity, or the largesse of billionaires.

The fire of revolution has been lit. And fortunately for us, like plagues, radical ideas are infectious, too.

The African Sovereignty Coalition (ASC) launched on June 18, 2022 to resist undemocratic developments that threaten the sovereignty of Africa and all nations. The ASC says these threats are being driven by the World Health Organization, and by extension, the United Nations, and the World Economic Forum.

The ASC believes that together, free of corrupt control, there is a better way towards health, personal autonomy, and national sovereignty. Collier leaders pass ‘health freedom’ ordinance to protect individual liberties

Collier leaders say health freedom law protects personal liberties after government overreach during COVID-19 pandemic

The Collier County Commission unanimously passed a “health freedom bill of rights” on Tuesday that supporters say protects personal liberties in the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic and government overreach. Opponents to the ordinance argued state laws enacted by Gov. Ron DeSantis in 2021 already spell out prohibitions, like mask mandates and vaccine requirements, and so a local ordinance is redundant.

A resolution that says the county will protect individual liberties in case something similar to another pandemic hits in the future passed 4-1 with Commissioner Burt Saunders casting the only dissenting vote. He expressed concern about one provision in the resolution about patient visitation rights in hospitals and controlling spread of an infectious disease.

Commissioner Chris Hall, elected to the board last November, proposed both documents, saying he ran for the county seat because of government overreach during the pandemic. Hall said he wanted to make sure people have the right to make their own health care decisions and not have anything “shoved down their throats. “That was just a violation of personal liberty I have never seen before in my life in this country,” he said at the start of the public hearing on the ordinance.

There were 53 speakers at the commission meeting, with more people speaking against the measures compared to two weeks ago when they were first debated.

Supporters of the two measures said the government infringed on the liberties of citizens and businesses with mask mandates, business shutdowns, vaccine requirements and quarantines. The goal is to safeguard individuals’ rights going forward and prevent a repeat of the past, they said.

Besides arguing a local ordinance is not necessary because of existing state law, opponents argued a lot of nonscientific information was being voiced by the ordinance supporters who are expressing opinions rooted in mistrust of government.

What did speakers say on both sides?

Scott Kiley, a member of the COVID Tyranny Task Force which advocates for health care freedom in Collier, said the ordinance reflects state law while the resolution aims to address things in state laws that need improving. Government overreach with unlawful quarantines and other actions prolonged the pandemic, and a lot was done wrong in the last three years of the pandemic, he said.

The resolution will enable supporters to educate citizens and rally them to change state statutes, Kiley said.

Josh Yoder, a commercial pilot and president of the U.S. Freedom Flyers, shared how commercial airlines early after the vaccine came out forced pilots to get the vaccine and how many became sick and died. The airlines eventually allowed for religious and medical exemptions to the vaccine requirement only because they didn’t want to lose 25% of its workforce that didn’t want to get the shots.

Many pilots have been afraid to speak up about their experience with the vaccine and their health, he said. “This is a major problem that goes back to informed consent and medical mandates,” Yoder said.

Dr. George Yiachos, a board-certified cardiologist in Naples and supporter of the ordinance and resolution, spoke about heart inflammation tied to the vaccine. For those who have not gotten vaccinated there is fallout, such as being denied transplants, he said.

April Donahue, executive director of the Collier County Medical Society, said the ordinance is “by and large redundant of state law and therefore unnecessary at a county level.”

Dr. Rebecca Smith, president of the board of directors of the medical society, said the ordinance and resolution needs to be reviewed by a group that includes specialists, a constitutional attorney, county commissioners and the public. That approach would lead to balanced statements that ensure individuals’ healthcare rights, address the needs of local businesses and allows for the necessary public health interventions during public health crises.

Jennifer Walker, a long-time Naples resident, urged the board to focus on issues it can address, such as the affordable housing crisis. “This is redundant and a waste of time as others have pointed out,” she said.

Edward Ludwig, who said he worked in the medical technology industry for 40 years, said the COVID-19 vaccines were thoroughly tested before being released to the public and lower risk of heart inflammation. “Do your homework and do the right thing,” he said. “Follow the science.”

What did other commissioners say?

Commissioner Bill McDaniel initially said he had concerns with a section of the ordinance that prohibits business owners from requiring vaccine documentation of customers to enter the business yet he backed down when told it follows state law. He also didn’t like the proposed language that would require a unanimous 5-0 vote to impose a mask mandate, impose a vaccine mandate of county employees or require a vaccine passport to enter the county. The board agreed to change it to a supermajority vote of four votes to make those changes.

Commission Chairman Rick LoCastro said the county was not making decisions based on the effectiveness of the COVID-19 vaccine or whether they are good or evil. “I’m for choice,” he said. “We are talking about rights.”

What does the ordinance say?

The ordinance seeks to address the concerns of Collier County residents and prohibit COVID-19 vaccine mandates, mask mandates, quarantines, and vaccine passports. The ordinance also rejects health directives by the World Health Organization and other international bodies,” according to a summary. “The ordinance also adopts state statutes, which have codified many of these protections, into local law and allows for code enforcement to enforce the ordinance,” according to the summary.

Residents have the right to in the resolution:

No medical mandates

Right to no discrimination based on their healthcare decisions.

Informed consent without interference

Right to personalized care

Right to not be refused care

Right of free movement; travel in Collier cannot be restricted based on vaccine status

Right to medical advocate

Right to forego unlawful quarantine

Here are some key provisions of the ordinance:

COVID-19 vaccine documentation is prohibited.

Private employer COVID-19 vaccine mandates are prohibited without providing for exemptions.

Collier County shall not impose any vaccine mandates for any county employee without a supermajority vote of the commission.

Collier County shall not impose a mask mandate or issue quarantine order without a supermajority vote of the commission.

Collier County shall not require a vaccine passport as a condition of entry without a supermajority vote of the commission.

Unless compelled by federal or state law, Collier County does not recognize any authority by the World Health Organization or any other international body to impose any health mandates or directives within Collier County.

Collier County adopts the entirety of the Florida Patients’ Bill of Rights and Responsibilities.

To the extent not inconsistent with Florida law, violation of the ordinance shall be punishable as provided by county ordinance.

In the event the ordinance conflicts with state or federal law, state or federal law shall apply.

Scott Kiley said they are trying to get other counties in Florida to adopt these policies now.
