For All The Outcry Concerning The Rights Of The Unborn, Where Is The Outcry Concerning The Rights Of The Born?

(First of all, so there is no confusion, this article does not deal with the merits of being either pro-choice or pro-life, as far as the abortion issue goes. The intent here is to dissect some implications of the focus on the rights of the unborn, given that we live in what appears to be a profoundly pro-death culture.)

Following the overturning of Roe vs. Wade by the US Supreme Court, the reaction was predictably divided. One Facebook post by reporter Terri LaPoint seems to reflect a certain mindset, announcing that “I KNEW this day would come! This is the beginning point of restoration of life and families. As surely as I knew today would come, I am just as confident in the promises of the Lord that families will be restored!”

Equally, a number of red state governors also made celebratory comments. The following were culled from a CNN report:

Iowa Gov. Kim Reynolds

“As Governor, I won’t rest until every unborn Iowan is protected and respected,” she said.

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott

“Texas will always fight for the innocent unborn, and I will continue working with the Texas legislature and all Texans to save every child from the ravages of abortion and help our expectant mothers in need,” he said.

Florida Gov. Ron. DeSantis:

“The prayers of millions have been answered. For nearly fifty years, the U.S. Supreme Court has prohibited virtually any meaningful pro-life protection, but this was not grounded in the text, history or structure of the Constitution. By properly interpreting the Constitution, the Dobbs majority has restored the people’s role in our republic and a sense of hope that every life counts.”

Predictably, blue state governors were opposed.

Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer:

Whitmer pledged to “fight like hell” after the Supreme Court decision.

New York Gov. Kathy Hochul:

Hochul tweeted in response to the Supreme Court overturning Roe v. Wade: “Today the Supreme Court rolled back the rights of millions of Americans, disregarding their interests and — more importantly — their lives. Access to abortion is a fundamental human right, and it remains safe, accessible, and legal in New York.”

As quoted in the Las Vegas Review-Journal, Nevada Governor Sisolak had this to say:

“I want to reassure you … for all women, everyone seeking reproductive health care, I will not stand by and let this outdated idea that women can’t make the right decisions for their own bodies to take over our lives.”

However, in all the commotion over the rights of the unborn, one glaring fact appears to cast a dark shadow over the reactions, right or left. And this would be that the born simply have no rights.

Consider the following:

*US born journalist, covering the Middle East, files a lawsuit claiming that the US government has put him on the drone kill list. The suit is dismissed after the DOJ claims that this is a matter of “national security.”

*A US journalist is attacked by the police in California. Her written complaint mysteriously disappears.

*According to this citation, euthanasia laws, which target the elderly and disabled and allow a means for government approval for their deaths, are “legal in 10 jurisdictions in the US: Washington, D.C.[5] and the states of California, Colorado, Oregon, Vermont, New Mexico, Maine,[6] New Jersey,[7] Hawaii, and Washington.[8] Its status is disputed in Montana, though currently authorized per the Montana Supreme Court’s ruling in Baxter v. Montana that “nothing in Montana Supreme Court precedent or Montana statutes [indicates] that physician aid in dying is against public policy.”[9] . * NOTE BELOW

In other words, if you are old and/or infirm, the government will be happy to help facilitate your death.

*Increasingly, there is a move to include psychiatric conditions in the approved reasons for these killings. So if you find modern life depressing or difficult to navigate, you too may qualify for the kool-aid.

*And let’s not forget the million and a half or so Americans who are under adult guardianship. As discussed in multiple previous articles, many of these wards end up dead as soon as their money runs out.

But the pro-life movement ignores most of these, focusing on the emotional tug associated with babies. Well, old people lack the “cuteness” factor that cuddly little babies have. Old people are often smelly, fat and disoriented. Can’t get as much mileage out of them as you can a darling little baby, right?

SO WHICH GROUPS HAVE NO RIGHTS?

Let’s break down these situations. Journalists can be murdered by the state, no problem. So can those who have entered the later stages of life. Anyone else?

Unfortunately, that’s not all. Recent reports on the “Havana Syndrome,” these so-called mysterious and disabling attacks on government employees, are only the tip of the iceberg. Thousands and thousands of non-government employees are now stating that they are also being attacked with these microwave or directed energy weapons. It is commonly known among these communities of test-subjects/victims that these are US military weapons.

Okay, so we now have three categories of fully born people whose rights to life are under the gun. Any others?

If the perception ends up holding water, then certain minorities are in far more peril from a pandemic (biological weapons agenda) than are others. In a recent interview on Project Humanity, host Jason Liosatos and I discussed a racial agenda behind the current pandemic craze, and indications that this may be at play.

Special attention should be paid to the discussion of the South African/apartheid effort to develop a “blacks-only” bioweapon and the indications that this was not only developed but deployed.

Well, the field is expanding, is it not? Journalists, old people, those with disabilities, those simply depressed by the current state of affairs, minorities, and those chosen for whatever reason to be non-consensual test subjects. The right to life of all these groups has been attacked.

In fact, who is left? If you factor in all these groups, we are left with precious few who have fully vested rights: Some white guys and the hardened complicit.

And if you ask me, all this outcry about the rights of the unborn neatly buries what should be our utmost concern–what is happening to our neighbors, our elders, our fellow Americans. Is it easier to get outraged over the decimation of potential life than to grapple with the realities happening to living, breathing people? Are we evidencing a more advanced case of the “Kitty Genovese Syndrome,” where over a hundred New Yorkers ignored the savage attack and turned up their television sets?

Methodist Pastor Dave Barnhardt put it this way:

“‘The unborn’ are a convenient group of people to advocate for. They never make demands of you; they are morally uncomplicated, unlike the incarcerated, addicted, or the chronically poor; they don’t resent your condescension or complain that you are not politically correct; unlike widows, they don’t ask you to question patriarchy; unlike orphans, they don’t need money, education, or childcare; unlike aliens, they don’t bring all that racial, cultural, and religious baggage that you dislike; they allow you to feel good about yourself without any work at creating or maintaining relationships; and when they are born, you can forget about them, because they cease to be unborn. You can love the unborn and advocate for them without substantially challenging your own wealth, power, or privilege, without re-imagining social structures, apologizing, or making reparations to anyone. They are, in short, the perfect people to love if you want to claim you love Jesus, but actually dislike people who breathe. Prisoners? Immigrants? The sick? The poor? Widows? Orphans? All the groups that are specifically mentioned in the Bible? They all get thrown under the bus for the unborn.”

Each governor mentioned in this article was contacted with questions as to their guardianship laws and policies, in light of their stated concern for the rights of Americans, born or unborn. At the time of going to press, no response was received by any governor contacted. To be very clear, each of these governors presides over jurisdictions in which the elderly are regularly murdered and their estates plundered.

Note–Wikipedia denies that euthanasia laws are equivalent with “physician assisted suicide” laws. Other sources disagree, citing growing numbers of cases where individuals are being euthanized without requesting this.
