Activist Post, sister publication Natural Blaze and countless organizations and individuals have posted information online about why people want to keep utility “Smart” Meters off their homes, out of their communities, and out of their states. So many problems have been reported about “Smart” Meters that a documentary was released about them in 2013, Take Back Your Power. It was updated in 2017 and is now free to watch online.
“Smart” Meters have been linked worldwide to fires, explosions, inaccurate (and inflated) measurements and billing, malfunctioning and breaking appliances, health issues, environmental issues, cybersecurity issues, and privacy violations. Original analog meters weren’t associated with these problems and they lasted – on average – 40 years. “Smart” Meters have to be replaced anywhere between 1-10 years. “Smart” Meters are dumb – and we’re not the first to say it either.
Unfortunately“Smart” Meters are very profitable to utility companies. They allow them to collect our utility usage data 24/7 so they can sell it to 3rd parties. That’s why utility companies are fighting so hard to keep them installed – regardless of all the problems.
This new video by Jerry Day explains why “Smart” Meters are actually illegal and provides steps you can take to keep them off your home. Thanks Jerry.
