It’s not surprising that this very scary story was reported yesterday by media outlets everywhere. However, the hacking of WiFi-operated cameras and baby monitors has been reported many times before.
According to experts, all wireless devices can be hacked – including pacemakers and other medical implants.
Equally scary regarding wireless baby monitors and cameras – there is still no scientifically determined “safe” level of wireless radiation exposure for children or pregnant women. So keeping all sources of cell phone and wireless WiFi radiation away from babies is safer for them period.
Technology can be helpful as long as it’s used safely. Unfortunately, most of us aren’t even aware that we’re all being exposed to increasingly higher unsafe levels of WiFi from a variety of sources every single day. This is only getting worse because of current campaigns for the “Race for 5G”, “Smart Cities,” the “Internet of Things (IoT),” Automated Vehicles, Artificial Intelligence (AI), utility “Smart” Meters, etc. This being said – there’s more involuntary WiFi exposure in all of our futures unless more of us fight to change the guidelines and laws that are allowing this.
