Threat Level Midnight

Yesterday president Obama appeared on television, and with as much gravity as the poor man could muster, once again reminded Americans not to forget about TERROR! (Gee, thanks. I had almost forgotten for a minute.)

Whatever happened to the iconic FDR who stood before an uncertain world and said, “The only thing we have to fear is fear itself”?

Obama spoke from the headquarters of some alphabet agency I’ve never heard of, on the same day it was announced that things said on Social Media “may” soon factor in to the acquisition of passports. (Hope you kept your trap shut.) And just like that, there goes your Freedom of Speech.

Think of all the ways speech gets limited these days. A host of alphabet Networks and Agencies spells it all out for the public. We have to watch what we say due to political correctness, use words and phrases that are fashionable and avoid those that are passé, and speak what is acceptable as discourse and eschew what is restricted. And now unpopular speech is to be punished by the restricting of Liberties?

Oh, excuse me; that’s only for the “terrorists”.

It’s a shame the American people haven’t yet figured out that the terrorists were created by the (by now obviously) corrupted Western Governments, in order to ultimately scare the public into giving up its rights. And although this may be evident, the excuses given by Big Media are so pervasive and compelling! Here is a sampling: “We have to limit Freedoms so that the terrorists won’t win.” “The terrorists envy us our rights, so we have to give up our rights in order to secure them.” “The only way we can be at peace is to constantly be at war.” “War is peace.” (And by the way, did you hear, “We’ve always been at war with Eurasia?”.)

Once you realize that the Evil Western Powers are parasitically preying on their own peoples, it begins to make sense why all of a sudden shooters of all stripes are coming out of the woodwork, in an entirely new sociological phenomena; becoming, each, the poster boy for a different political agenda. Then and only then will you understand that the #alQaedIsis State is but a Western Brand for terror, just like your friendly neighborhood Wendy’s is a Brand for hamburgers.

When you start to grasp the narrative of the war on Freedom; pardon me, terror; the absurdity of the Televised Drama becomes bracingly clear. Then you can take back your peace by laughing at these tyrants like the Founders would have, by mocking them, by comparing their two-bit, tinhorn soap opera to such ludicrous fare as Michael Scott’s fictional self-made Office movie, “Threat Level Midnight”, a hilarious title which seems to spoof the Color Alert boondoggle, and the sangfroid Doomsday Clock.

Itself a spoof of life in the age of terrorism (and Bond films), “Threat Level Midnight” features a terror-loving double crosser of a president, an outrageous cartoon villain, a robot butler who might as well represent England, and a dopey hero who doesn’t even know he’s a joke. Voila, the war on terror, 2015! (I don’t even have to break this down, do I?)

To some it may seem like escapism, but in an age where the president pops in just to remind you to crap your pants, I prefer to watch a fictional president betray his country. Hey, at least everyone knows that guy is an actor.

So like Webster Tarpley, who may or may not be making fun of Obama when he calls him “Obammer”, let’s take a deep breath and remember that life is full of beauty and non-political thrills. And in any case, “blessed are the peacemakers”, and “blessed are the merciful”; and those that “hunger and thirst for righteousness” (we must believe it) will one day “inherit the earth”.

Let’s remember this Christmas season to remain in a spirit of joy and peace; this is how we break the War Machine, and confound the Media Industrial Complex.
