Well, it’s official: presidents and prime ministers really do age more quickly and die younger than their peers. But is it the stress of “leading the country” or the stress of being a disposable puppet for the oligarchy that does them in?

I agree with Mr. Corbett that it isn’t being “the decider” that causes the stress, it’s knowing that one step off the reservation can get you killed. Adrenaline is released into the bloodstream by fear, but in our ancestral environment fear was brief and focused, not chronic and all-encompassing. The metabolites of adrenaline are extremely corrosive to health and anything that causes routine adrenaline release like a bad boss or neighbor should be avoided at all costs. For a fascinating look into the history of this understanding and the modern research that proved it, see the book _The Balance Within_.
The rate of aging for a US president is directly proportional to the number of lies they tell. Pretty stressful to live with the guilt (assuming any of them have a conscience).
“Be fearless and pure; never waver in your determination or your dedication to the spiritual life. Give freely. Be self-controlled, sincere, truthful, loving, and full of the desire to serve…Learn to be detached and to take joy in renunciation. Do not get angry or harm any living creature, but be compassionate and gentle; show good will to all. Cultivate vigor, patience, will, purity; avoid malice and pride. Then, you will achieve your destiny.”
JFK died (murdered) at a young age – rip.
the current hdic is afraid someone might find out he didn’t finish high school – let alone attend universities – law degree – lol! Whats in a a name – right Barry. Dance for the masters.
Bullony. Bush 1 is still kicking….Reagan lived a very long life, carter is still there and shall I go on?
Let’s see: Jefferson died at 83, Adams at 90, Madison at 85, when the average life expectancy was 37.
The earliest death of the first 8 Presidents was Washington at 67.
How about modern Presidents (Post WWII)? Hoover died at 90, Eisenhower 78 Truman 88, Nixon 81,
Reagan 93, Ford 93.
Discounting the assassinated JFK, the earliest death was Johnson at 64.
Jimmy Carter is 91.
The average age of death for men in this period, about 75.
From the evidence, early and late, it appears Presidents live longer than average.
We can see the hair turn grey, the wrinkles increase…but in fact, Presidents live longer than most men.
Well if the premise is true (they don’t live as long) which it does not look to be true, those appointed people spend billion$ and sell their souls to get the job and all the lifelong perks for them and their families (live better than royalty on your $$$).
It would be fitting, based on the performance of ‘most’ who held the office during the past 40 years if they did die young(er).
It should happen to all gov’t pukes..
