Here’s Why Americans Should Rename “Thanksgiving” to “Black Friday Eve”

Across America today, Americans will gather with their loved ones for special feasts, during which they will profess to each other all the things for which they are thankful.

Family and friends who’ve likely not seen each other for a while will reunite for a day of love and peace.

That peace, however, will be short-lived and mostly a facade.

As Americans sit back with bellies full of turkey and stuffing, the conversations will likely shift from being thankful — to being fearful. Dinner table conversations will likely turn to Muslim-bashing parties and plans for stampeding the local Walmart to catch the midnight sale on $199 televisions.

That brief moment of peace will have vanished like a puff of smoke, and it will be back to xenophobic, fear-mongering, police state worshiping, and rampant consumerism — as usual.

America is stuck in a loop of war and empire. However, most people are not aware of this loop as they remain distracted by establishment tricks of race-baiting, fear-mongering, modern-day bread and circus, and a pharmacologically-induced haze of consumerism.

A huge wedge is being driven through the heart of this country, deliberately, and the masses are readily accepting it. As long as they get to run out to Walmart for that sweet deal on an Xbox, most Americans remain oblivious to the fact that they are being divided – to be conquered.

As the oligarchs on high fleece the masses with ever-expanding taxation rates to finance Western conquest for oil, Boobus Americanus remains resolute in the false notion that he is secure. Nothing could be further from the truth.

A police state does not make you secure; it makes you a slave. It makes you blinded by state-sanctioned dehumanization, violence, and hate. When it finally begins to materialize, we see cowardly men and women accepting the mass murder of innocent children. We see people apologizing for the enforcers of the police state who are filmed beating innocent people to death and getting away with it.

We see a polarized black-and-white world in which all middle ground is compromised and ‘common sense’ is a word no one will say.

We are witnessing attacks on women and children – who are American citizens – by other American citizens, simply because they are Muslim. In the days since the Paris attacks, Mosques have been set on fire and defaced with human feces.

Americans are at each other’s throats about whether or not to allow Syrian refugees into the country. Hate-filled, xenophobic rhetoric dominates the Internet as closed-mindedness and fear spread like cancer — and the only ones winning in this turmoil are the terrorists and the military industrial complex.

“This is precisely what ISIS was aiming for — to provoke communities to commit actions against Muslims,” Arie Kruglanski, a professor of psychology at the University of Maryland who studies how people become terrorists, told the Washington Post. “Then ISIS will be able to say, ‘I told you so. These are your enemies, and the enemies of Islam.’”

ISIS is trying to create a world war, and the West is helping to foster it and no one cares because Best Buy has an amazing deal on the iPad. A group of murderous sociopaths have their finger on the hair trigger that is a nuclear holocaust, and the masses cannot see it. It is sheer insanity!

Of course, there is nothing wrong with buying things, especially inexpensive things as free trade is what creates a better quality of life for everyone. However, watching others trample each other over a Blu-ray player while simultaneously being trampled by their rulers in Washington DC is a telling sign of things to come.

We must not give in to the warmongering propaganda that is shoved down our throats by ALL major media outlets. We must not be so distracted by football and shopping that we ignore human suffering –  including our own. We must regain our humanity and empathy for other humans. We must be courageous in the face of popular ignorance, and seek to lessen this ignorance by becoming informed and active.

We must cease this paradigm of self-destructive behavior. The power to change the world is in all of our hands; those in power are nothing without your consent and funding.

Will we finance our own demise or wake up to the fact that criminally insane psychopaths are leading the proverbial lemming nation through the sliding Walmart doors and off a cliff? Will this day of thanks really mean something or will it forever be morphed into Black Friday Eve?

The choice is yours.
