The Free and Equal Elections Foundation will raise $7,000 in 7 days to ensure that the United We Stand Festival 2015, slated for the Belasco Theater in Los Angeles on September 19th, will be a resounding success.
“Christina Tobin founded Free and Equal Elections in 2008 as a natural extension of her activism in both voters’ rights and election reform movements,” states the United We Stand Fest 2015 IndieGoGo campaign page. “Free and Equal is a 501c3 non-profit, non-partisan organization, whose mission is to broaden our electoral choices through education.”
Just $7,000 is needed to cover such remaining items as production, equipment, insurance, and the all-important live, worldwide broadcast via freeandequal.org. Past IndieGoGo campaigns for the first UWSFest, held on May 10th last year, were enormously successful — one amassed $15,000 in 30 days, and the second collected$25,000 in a mere ten days.
While the status quo tries to divide us, The Free and Equal Elections Foundation brought the people together to connect, to exchange ideas, to start taking back our Nation, fighting against the Patriot Act, NDAA, NSA, endless warfare, the war on drugs, pollution, election fraud, drones, GMOs, police brutality, and the attack on net neutrality.
More than 3,000 people from a wide spectrum of musical tastes and talents (and varying political philosophies) attended last year’s UWSFest, and this year that dynamic will continue.
Free and Equal is targeting the 2016 Congressional race with its mission to educate voters and encourage active participation — even seeking office — in order to return power to the people and eradicate corporate and political corruption.
The United We Stand Festival will initiate Free and Equal’s Open Presidential Debates Tour for 2016 and will feature “truth musicians, activist leaders, and voices from independent media.”
#UWSFest will be a launching point for the 2016 election season where The Free and Equal Elections Foundation will release a series of engaging and educational initiatives including Electoral Reform Symposiums, Open Presidential Debates Tour, United We Stand Festivals Tour, Elections Assistant App, and many more.
All proceeds for the event will be used to support our future initiatives. Where there are educated, empowered, and motivated voters, real change can occur.
The Free and Equal Elections Foundation will lead that change and help influence electoral reform to ensure the political mechanisms remain fair and unbiased, establishing a lasting, liberty-oriented environment for many Generations to enjoy!”
