Modern factory farming practices, which produce cows’ milk, just about guarantees it’s probably chock full of antibiotics, GMO-feed-glyphosate-residues, growth hormones (BST), pus induced by hormones, plus other natural stress hormones that cows’ bodies make from the stresses of their unnatural living conditions—factory farms. Cows should be outdoors, grazing in lush green pastures.
In this country [USA], roughly 29 million pounds of antibiotics — about 80 percent of the nation’s antibiotics use in total — are added to animal feed every year, mainly to speed livestock growth. This widespread use of antibiotics on animals contributes to the rise of resistant bacteria, making it harder to treat human illnesses. [1] [Emphasis added]
Cows were not designed by Nature to eat soy beans, corn, molasses, and other ingredients, including antibiotics added to their feed. Nature intended cows to eat grasses on prairies and in farm pastures. Science, along with factory farmers, has produced what’s called “cannulated cows” in order to understand the ‘mechanics’ of cow digestion.
Cannulating a cow is a scientific technology to figure out how cows eat and digest things like counter-digestive soy, corn, oats, etc., instead of alfalfa and grass Nature provides for their diets—as healthy cows are ruminants: animals who chew their cud.
Gastric problems with cows, which probably induce more flatulence, i.e., “cow farts,” and methane, most likely originate from their being forced to eat feed (grains and legumes) Nature did not intend. The following is from the above Hole-y cow information.
Agroscope, in Grangeneuve, Switzerland uses the cannulated cows to test the digestion of different, experimental blends of oats to create a more balanced feed for the animals.
Notation should be made that nothing is more balanced for cows than natural pasture grasses!
Swiss cowherds, for centuries, have taken their cows to Alpine highlands for lush pasture grazing, thus producing exquisitely rich Swiss cheeses and dairy products.
To understand what cannulation is, this video explains it. You may get squeamish.
What science obviously doesn’t understand is this: Nature created living organisms LONG before modern ‘advanced’ technology came along, and Nature still expects technology to “go along with the program.”
But, Nature’s long-tested evolutionary processes are something technology wants to change in every facet science gets involved with—medicine and politics, too. Think GMO crops; vaccines changing the human immune system to ‘antigen response’ rather than bodies creating natural immunity; water and air—the very essentials of life now deliberately contaminated with fluoride, a protoplasmic poison, and chemtrails spraying all types of industrial wastes laced with toxic elements; etc.
Everything in today’s modern life on Planet Earth is affected by scientific technologies, which go unchecked and basically run rampant due to ‘self-regulation’ because of either lobbying efforts or secret black budget projects carried out by a shadow government. As former President Bill Clinton is purported to have said, “Sarah, there’s a government inside the government and I don’t control it.” [4]
Added to the cows’ direct and immediate milk-producing health/product quality problems, are environmental issues created by factory farming practices, especially all the runoff from manure, chemicals, and the methane produced. California has a huge dairy waste pollution problem.
This site (http://milk.procon.org/view.answers.php?questionID=001056) has a Pro and Con debate titled, “Does the Manure Generated by Large Dairy Farms Cause Significant Water Pollution?”
All the above has led to questioning and non-purchasing-consumers’ backlashes, which have scared the factory-farm milk industry into what can be considered a proselytizing advertising campaign of how good milk really is, but consumers don’t know the facts. See this:
https://www.organicconsumers.org/blog/under-attack-big-dairy-rings-cowbells-milktruth
However, facts be known, the only really good milk is organically-produced, raw milk, which most states ban selling commercially.
Pasteurization, on the other hand, kills almost all the nutrients in raw milk, especially the healthful enzymes. Milk, then, becomes a mucus-producing drink for most people. Raw milk, for ages, has been known as a healthful, life-generating food. Even the Old Testament Bible mentions the “…land flowing with milk and honey,” [Exodus 33:3] interpreted as an apparent parallel meaning for health and wealth.
Probably pasteurization’s worst offence is that it makes insoluable [sic] the major part of the calcium contained in raw milk. This frequently leads to rickets, bad teeth, and nervous troubles, for sufficient calcium content is vital to children; and with the loss of phosphorus also associated with calcium, bone and breain [sic s/b brain] formation suffer serious setbacks.
Pasteurization also destroys 20 percent of the iodine present in raw milk, causes constipation and generally takes from the milk its most vital qualities.
If we are to be compelled to drink pasteurized milk, we should at least understand what pasteurization means. It set out to accomplish two things: Destruction of certain disease- carrying germs and the prevention of souring milk. These results are obtained by keeping the milk at a temperature of 145 degrees to 150 degrees F. for half an hour, at least, and then reducing the temperature to not more than 55 degrees F. [2]
Please refer to Wikipedia for additional information about modern day pasteurization processes under the subtitle “Process.”
Back in 2011 Reuters Health reported, “Kids who drink raw milk have less asthma, allergies.”
Children who drink raw milk are less likely to develop asthma and allergies than those who stick to the safer pasteurized version, according to a large European study. [….]
Although earlier studies have found less asthma and allergies among kids who drink raw milk, the new work is the first to point to the exact components in the milk that might be protective. [….]
Compared with kids who only drank store-bought milk, those who drank raw milk had a 41-percent reduction in their odds of developing asthma. They were also only about half as likely to develop hay fever — even after accounting for other factors that might be relevant.
On the other hand, those who drank boiled farm milk had no less asthma than those who drank store milk. [….]
The protective effect was linked to so-called whey proteins in the milk, such as BSA and alpha-lactalbumin. [3]
After reading the above, if you are inclined to drink milk and eat cheese and other dairy products, hopefully, you will look for the organic or pasture-fed-cow milk label. The Organic Consumers Organization is a helpful resource on many sustainable farming issues.
Moreover, be on the lookout for the dairy producers’ new campaign to ‘reinvent’ the milk factory farms produce. Instead of producing advertising campaigns, factory farm dairies should be encouraged, and mandated by law, to produce healthful milk and animal husbandry methods that are humane to cows, and do not contaminate both the milk and the environment.
