Congressional DELAY on Vaccine Damage Hearing: Now’s the Time to Voice Concern

Wouldn’t you know it! The Congressional Oversight and Government Reform Committee of the U.S. House of Representatives just called off the scheduled December 4th hearing regarding the National Vaccine Injury Compensation Program problems.

The hearing was to receive injured vaccinees’ stories and how the NVICP is NOT following the original intent of the 1986 law by depriving injured vaccinees rightful compensation, as Congress originally intended. Furthermore, “abuses in the NVICP of the petitions of vaccine injured families” were also going to be presented to the committee at that hearing. Apparently, something occurred that demands a cancellation of the hearing. One can only stretch one’s imagination as to any possible reason(s) for the cancellation.

The scheduled second hearing within 13 months apparently resulted from the November 29, 2012 testimony before OGR when numerous members of Congress weren’t very happy – and showed it – about what they were hearing from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s representatives who testified. C-SPAN produced a live-stream video of that hearing, which can be viewed below:

Quite frankly, it’s rather disturbing listening to an apparent display of obfuscation, in my opinion.

However, those vaccine safety advocates (Jennifer Larson and Mark Blaxill) who have been interacting with the OGR’s staff are hopeful that the hearing can be resurrected and take place.

Now is when every person concerned about vaccine safety and vaccine damage compensation procedures has to engage by calling the OGR majority staff members Mark Marin and Emily Martin at their Rayburn House Office Building in Washington, DC at 202-225-5074 and request the OGR reschedule the cancelled National Vaccine Injury Compensation Program hearing as soon as possible, preferably before the end of 2013. Also, give them your phone number and/or email address and ask them to please inform you of the date for the rescheduled hearing. Will you please do that now? Let’s activate and enforce the old adage: The squeaky wheel gets the oil. Make noise about the cancelled NVICP hearing; we want it rescheduled.
