Obama’s General Assembly Address

His address didn’t surprise. It was beginning-to-end demagogic boilerplate. It featured imperial mumbo jumbo. He turned truth on its head like he always does.

A year ago he claimed intervening in Libya was to “cope with violent conflict, care for the wounded, and craft a vision for the future in which the rights of all Libyans would be respected.”

“And after the revolution, (he) supported the birth of a new democracy, as Libyans held elections, and built new institutions, and began to move forward after decades of dictatorship.”

Fact check

Libya was Africa’s most developed country. Most Libyans supported Gaddafi. They did so for good reasons. He provided free healthcare, education and much more.

His Libya no longer exists. Obama turned it into a charnel house. Tens of thousands were slaughtered. Multiples more were injured. Many more were displaced.

Mostly civilians were harmed. NATO willfully targeted them. At issue was replacing another independent government with a puppet one.

Violence persists daily. So do human need, suffering and misery.

Libya’s a failed state. Divergent factions run things. No legitimate government exists. For sure no democracy. Obama lied claiming otherwise.

He bears full responsibility for what happened. He moved on. He’s waging war on Syria. He wants another imperial trophy. He’ll stop at nothing to get it. Rogue states operate this way.

“(W)e come together to reaffirm the founding vision of this institution,” said Obama. “For most of recorded history, (the) idea that nations and peoples could come together in peace to solve their disputes and advance a common prosperity seemed unimaginable.”

It still does. America bears full responsibility. Obama shares considerable guilt.

Throughout every post-WW II year, Washington waged one war after another. They rage non-stop. They’ve ravaged one country after another.

Countless millions of lives were lost. Many more die daily. Overwhelming human suffering, misery and need persist.

America violates core UN Charter provisions. It does so daily. It does it waging war on humanity. It claims it’s doing it to pursue peace.

On June 26, 1945, the UN Charter was signed. On October 24, it became effective. It failed “to save succeeding generations from the scourge of war.”

Obama’s claims otherwise ring hollow. He bears much of the blame for one war after another. He deplores peace. His policies show it.

They mock democratic values. They violate rule of law principles. They do so with impunity. Obama’s financial war compounds his hot ones. He lied claiming:

“(T)hanks to coordinated efforts by the countries here today, jobs are being created, global financial systems have stabilized, and people are being lifted out of poverty.”

Poverty, unemployment, hunger, homelessness and deprivation are at Depression era levels. They’re the worst since the 1930s. They show no signs of ending.

“Together, we have also worked to end a decade of war,” Obama said. It rages without end. He’s got other targets in mind.

He claimed he’s “working diligently to close” Guantanamo. He’s done everything possible to keep it open.

He’s expanding it. He holds innocent detainees indefinitely. He refuses to release them for spurious reasons.

Guantanamo’s one of many US global torture prisons. They operate at home and abroad. Obama didn’t explain.

He claimed “the world is more stable than it was five years ago.” It’s infinitely less stable. He deplores peace. His policies threaten global war.

He persists anyway. He prioritizes advancing America’s imperium. The cost in mass slaughter and destruction are small prices to pay, he believes.

He failed to explain in New York. It didn’t surprise. He invented achievements he didn’t accomplish.

He took credit for what demands condemnation. He did it unapologetically. Rogue leaders operate this way. He’s by far the worst.

His war on Syria wages. Islamist terrorists are imported from abroad. Salvador Option rules apply. They include mass slaughter and destruction, torture and other gruesome atrocities. He didn’t explain.

He wrongfully blamed Assad for attacking Ghouta with chemical weapons. He called it “an insult to human reason and to the legitimacy of this institution to suggest that anyone other than (his) regime carried out this attack.”

He lied saying so. Clear evidence shows insurgents bear full responsibility. They’ve used chemical weapons multiple times.

Pentagon contractors trained them in their handling and use. CIA and US special forces are involved. Saudi Arabia supplies toxic agents. It’s been caught red-handed doing it.

Obama wants the world community to “enforce the ban on chemical weapons.” He ignored America’s longstanding use of banned toxins in all its wars. Chemical, biological and radiological ones are used.

He demands Assad must go. He wants Syrians denied the right to choose who’ll lead them. He claims otherwise.

He wants Security Council authorization to wage war. He’s pressuring Russia to agree. He claims war on Syria pursues peace. He repeated one bald-faced lie after another.

“We’re no longer in a cold war,” he said. He reinvented one against Putin.

“There’s no great game to be won, nor does America have any interest in Syria beyond the well being of its people, the stability of its neighbors, the elimination of chemical weapons and insuring that it does not become a safe haven for terrorists.”

Washington’s agenda is polar opposite what Obama claims. He deplores peace. He’s waging war on humanity. He’s pursuing the greatest of all great games.

He seeks unchallenged global dominance. He’s doing it through endless conflicts. He risks humanity’s survival in the process. He didn’t explain. He lied claiming otherwise.

He “outline(d)” what he claims is “US policy toward the Middle East and North Africa and what will be (his) policy during the remainder of” his tenure.

“The United States of America is prepared to use all elements of our power, including military force, to secure our core interests in the region.”

“We will confront external aggression against our allies and partners, as we did in the Gulf War.”

“We will ensure the free flow of energy from the region to the world.”

“Although America is steadily reducing our own dependence on imported oil. The world still depends on the region’s energy supply, and a severe disruption could destabilize the entire global economy.”

“We will dismantle terrorist networks that threaten our people.”

“Wherever possible, we will build the capacity of our partners, respect the sovereignty of nations, and work to address the root causes of terror.”

“But when it’s necessary, (we’ll) defend the United States against terrorist attacks. We will take direct action.”

“And finally, we will not tolerate the development or use of weapons of mass destruction.”

“Just as we consider the use of chemical weapons in Syria to be a threat to our own national security, we reject the development of nuclear weapons that could trigger a nuclear arms race in the region and undermine the global nonproliferation regime.”

“And we’ll continue to promote democracy and human rights and open markets because we believe these practices achieve peace and prosperity.”

“In the near term, America’s diplomatic efforts will focus on two particular issues: Iran’s pursuit of nuclear weapons and the Arab- Israeli conflict.”

He claimed “resolving them can help serve as a foundation for a broader peace.”

US/Iranian “suspicions” run too deep to be resolved overnight, he said. “(I)f we can resolve the issue of Iran’s nuclear program,” it can be a step in the right direction, he added.

“We are not seeking regime change, he claimed. “(W)e insist that (Iran) meet(s) its responsibilities under (NPT) and UN Security Council resolutions.”

He’s resolved to solve the Israeli/Palestinian conflict, he claimed.

America must be engaged globally, he insists. His actions explain better than words.

It bears repeating. He prioritizes war. He deplores peace. He chooses belligerence over peaceful conflict resolution.

The only enemies America faces are ones it creates. So-called “terrorist networks” are its own. More than any other nation, it develops and uses WMDs.

It does so in all its wars. It does it preemptively. It does it aggressively. It does it illegally. It does with impunity.

Obama denies Palestinians all rights. He one-sidedly supports Israel. He’s always done so. He’s beholden to Israeli Lobby pressure.

Syria and Iran threaten no one. Obama threatens humanity’s survival. He wants all independent governments toppled. He’s using every means at his disposal to do so.

War is his bottom line option. He’s on the wrong side of history. His agenda risks ending it. Stopping him remains top priority. It’s the free world’s greatest challenge.
