Similar to the times of the last alchemists humanity is living in a dark age, an age that needs a rebirth in order to correct itself. History is a cycle of dark ages and golden ages, separated by times of rapid intellectual and spiritual growth which we refer to as a renaissance. The word “renaissance” represents the idea that a civilization can be reborn stronger and more conscious then before. During the renaissance of the Middle Ages the alchemists managed to raise the consciousness level of an entire civilization without the knowledge of their oppressive government or religious regime. They did this by building an underground culture imbedded with their unorthodox ideas, which assimilated with the contemporary culture of the time. Even some of the most famous artists of the time were deeply involved in the alchemical teachings and used their art to bring revolutionary messages to the people.
In present times the alchemists manifest themselves as the artists, musicians, philosophers and independent journalists of the counter culture. This is our generation’s movement that will carry on “the great work” to transform and uplift the human consciousness just as the alchemists did before us. As we near the end of this dark age of materialism and oppression, history repeats itself and the counter culture is starting to assimilate with the traditional mainstream culture. The messages of the modern alchemist are reaching the hearts of millions through the music, art and philosophy that the counter culture embodies. The message is one of peace, personal freedom and universal connectivity which has been silenced for generations by the slave driving financial regimes that are still in power today. Our oppressors know that once humanity as a whole accepts peace that they will no longer be needed, and no longer be in control. We will control our own consciousness, and our own destiny as we lead future generations into a more free and positive world.
This book is a call to action for anyone who thinks a better world is possible. We have the power to make a difference, we outnumber our oppressors by roughly a million to one. They stand absolutely no chance, their only power comes from their control over our thoughts and actions. We are incarcerated in an invisible prison, where our society and learned bias’s act as the bars and prison walls. So in order to free humanity from this rat race we must first educate and enlighten as many people as possible about the true nature of our existence so they are able to think and act in a way that empowers them and the rest of their human family. YOU can be a part of this movement, and in order for this to work you MUST be a part of this movement. Every human being has the creative energy within them to move mountains even if they do not realize it. So take that creative energy, and become a part of the movement any way that you can, use the natural gift within you to spread the message that a revolution of love and compassion is not only possible for this world, but necessary.
If you are already an artist of some kind, stop for a minute and think about what kind of purpose your art is serving, notice if your art sends any particular message. Now think about your beliefs and see if your art lines up with those beliefs. Since art has a profound impact on the minds of the people it reaches, the artist has a responsibility to make sure that they aren’t sending any negative or self-destructive messages. This is the idea of the new counter culture movement, to replace our obsolete, destructive and materialistic culture with a more peaceful and unifying one. When this day comes we can finally put an end to war, poverty and the mass manipulation that is responsible for the nightmare our species is experiencing.
