Artificial Strategy of Tension Aims to Undermine & Divide Thailand.

The US State Department, after fueling five years of unrest in Thailand and funding various NGOs through their National Endowment for Democracy (NED) to agitate unrest and division within the country, is now feigning concern over “freedom of speech” as its army of agitators begin receiving prison sentences.
Photo: Thai-born Lerpong Wichaikhammat, whom the corporate-media disingenuously presents as “the American Joe Gordon,” has been sentenced to prison for 2 years for insulting Thailand’s royal institution, a sentence overseen by a ruling regime that opposes, not supports said institution. The aim of calling attention to the royal institution by hyping harsh sentences like Lerpong’s and never mentioning the ruling US-backed regimes role in it, is to diminish and undermine the traditional power-brokers in Thailand who have operated for centuries beyond British, and now American domination.
This coordinated theater, led by Thaksin’s political proxies, including his own sister, Yingluck Shinawatra acting as “prime minister” and his political deputy, Chalerm Ubumrung (father of a convicted, though pardoned cop-killer) is designed to damage and undermine Thailand’s ancient political institutions which have existed beyond the reach of Wall Street, London, and their predecessors for nearly eight centuries, and make room for the uncontested return of Thaksin and his Wall Street backed political regime.
Chalerm claims he has “declared war” on Lese Majeste — or insults directed toward the Thai king — and sees sentences such as those handed out to the low-rank minions within his own movement of foreign-funded sedition as just and acceptable. And while this seems obviously farcical and suspicious, for a man to be sacrificing the most pitiful amongst his own ranks to be made “examples” of, the reaction of the US State Department, the European Union and their army of NGOs and corporate-media propagandists clearly illustrates the purpose behind this.
Despite a US-backed regime leading the charge against “Lese Majeste,” the US State Department never mentions this, and its vast network of NGOs most prominently NED-funded Prachatai, and the corporate media are portraying this new campaign as one carried about by Thailand’s royal institution itself and its supporters and defenders throughout the Royal Thai Army. For this propaganda campaign to be successful, a careful balancing act depending entirely on the ignorance of the global pubic, selective reporting, and the duplicitous cooperation of the corporate media and US-funded NGOs must be maintained.
Should Thailand’s critics throughout the US State Department, NED-funded Prachatai, and their collaborators within Thailand’s ruling regime led via proxy by Thaksin Shinawatra, be exposed as working in concert, this disingenuous attempt to undermine and divide Thailand will ultimately fail. The US State Department’s comments regarding the recent sentencing of a recent victim of Chalerm’s “war on Lese Majeste” exclaimed, “we support the freedom of expression here in Thailand and internationally throughout the world,” even as police brutally suppress such freedoms exercised by protesters throughout the Occupy Wall Street movement. Such hypocrisy reflected in the words of US policy verses its contradicting actions, not only in Thailand’s case, but throughout the world, is a fact acutely more noticeable now more than ever.
The US State Department’s recent announcement that it will establish a permanent advisory board to guide US foreign affairs policy, comprised solely of corporate-financier funded “think-tanks” casts further doubts on the veracity and genuine intentions behind their policy and statements. That these very same corporate-financier interests are tied directly to Thaksin Shinawatra, his UDD street movement, and his Peua Thai political party, led by his own sister and political deputy Chalerm, further expose the recent “war on Lese Majeste” as a public relations stunt aimed at weakening and dividing Thailand, not protecting it.
It has been exposed that not only has the propaganda front Prachatai been receiving money and support from the National Endowment for Democracy, but that Thaksin’s UDD leaders, as recently as April 2011, had visited Washington to consult with them, as well as Soros’ Open Society-funded Human Rights Watch, and the US-ASEAN Business Council comprised of the largest, most notorious corporate-fascist enterprises on earth.
While the corporate media relies on these facts remaining obscured as they prey on the emotions and prejudices of an unsuspecting audience, we see clearly a single, concerted movement to undermine, divide, and ultimately replace the current political institutions that have ruled Thailand for centuries with one more favorable (and created by) Wall Street and London interests. As this identical global network of sedition likewise sows chaos throughout Russia, the Middle East, and throughout Thailand’s neighbors, Malaysia via the Bersih movement, and Myanmar (Burma) via Aung San Suu Kyi, the general public as a whole would serve themselves well by committing themselves to due diligence before jumping to the ready-made conclusions presented to us by a now notoriously dishonest, eternally compromised corporate-media.
