The criminal globalists are at it yet again! Under the guise of humanitarian aid, hundreds of millions of dollars are to be pilfered from the Libyan people with the help of the illegitimate, unaccountable body known as the United Nations.
Thierry Meyssan of the Voltaire Network has revealed this in an article entitled, “Caught Red-Handed: Washington tried to snatch $1.5 billion to pay its NTC employees” published earlier this month.
Unfortunately, this is no longer a matter of Washington simply attempting to steal these funds, as today the Chinese news agency Xinhua has reported that according to a U.S. diplomat, the U.N. is going to release $1.5 billion in Libyan assets.
South Africa was attempting to block this release, but they finally caved to the Anglo-American Empire Thursday and “reached a deal” to release the frozen assets.
According to Xinhua, this means that the United States will not press for a vote to be made at the United Nations Security Council as the opposition came only from South Africa, which holds a non-permanent seat on the UNSC.
Thierry Meyssan has been targeted in Libya for his accurate reporting of the situation along with another member of the Voltaire Network, Mahdi Darius Nazemroaya.
This should not surprise us, since Meyssan has been revealing the true nature of the opposition there since the very beginning and most recently he exposed how the United States was working with the Libyan rebels to rob the people of Libya.
The funds to be unfrozen by the United Nations and the United States have already been earmarked, revealing the true intentions behind the release, and arguably the “revolution” as a whole.
A whopping $500,000,000 has already been guaranteed to “humanitarian services” like the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
USAID supported and funded a Peruvian forced sterilization campaign from the years of 1996-2000 according to the Population Research Institute. This resulted in the sterilization of nearly 300,000 women, some of which were killed in the process.
USAID then attempted to cover up their involvement in this egregious violation of human rights.
Now, they have been guaranteed another $0.5 billion to continue their corrupt practices in Libya under the banner of “humanitarian aid” thanks to the United Nations.
USAID and other so-called humanitarian aid organizations are not the only groups earmarked for massive amounts of the Libyan people’s money.
Another $500,000,000 has been guaranteed to the multinational corporations that are inextricably tied to the United States like Exxon, Halliburton, etc.
This is provided under the guise of “supplying fuel and vital humanitarian goods” which in reality means “hundreds of millions of overspending in cost-plus contracts guaranteed to corrupt globalist corporations who will likely never follow through with any of their guarantees, just as they have in Iraq and Afghanistan”.
The final $500,000,000 of the first round of unfrozen assets have been guaranteed to the Temporary Financial Mechanism (TFM), allegedly for “salaries and operating expenses of Libyan civil servants, food subsidies, electricity and other humanitarian purchases.”
1/5 of these provisioned funds, or $100,000,000, is to be allocated for the humanitarian needs of the people of Libya in areas which are not yet under the al Qaeda-affiliated rebel control. This will be distributed once the rebels have established “a credible, transparent and effective” system of fund allocation.
The details of what exactly “a credible, transparent and effective” mechanism might be are not yet clear. How a self-declared, unaccountable, completely undemocratic body can be “credible, transparent and effective” is beyond me and has also yet to be explained.
Meyssan revealed that the TFM is a part of the Libyan Information Exchange Mechanism and is a Washington creation, just as the failed mechanisms in place in Iraq were.
As Meyssan points out, the people of Libya were not even represented at the Committee that made this decision, so they could not protest the robbery of their resource-rich nation.
There is still an estimated $100+ billion in frozen Libyan assets abroad, the handling of this first allotment will likely set the stage for how the rest of the Libyan people’s money is pilfered.
Will the rebels, supposedly the sole legitimate representatives of the Libyan people, actually follow through and fight for the welfare of the Libyan people? Or will they allow all of the money to be taken by Western “authorities” and allocated as they see fit?
Will Libya turn into another Iraq or Afghanistan, where the situation for the people has only become significantly worse as the years draw on while multinational contractors get filthy rich?
Only time will tell, but I sincerely hope that the rebels will defy my preconceived notions and actually represent the Libyan people instead of Western interests.
Meanwhile, the United Nations is calling for “restraint” in Libya on both sides, in order to prevent acts of violence and revenge.
This is likely in response to the reports of abuses and summary killings at the hands of rebel forces and Gaddafi loyalists.
Apparently the United Nations has no problem freeing up funds that will go, in part, to individuals accused of war crimes.
