Dear Congressman Ryan:
I have seen you many times on Lame Street Media promoting your grandiose plan to kill Medicare. I realize targeting those least able to defend themselves from yet another round of the neo-con movement to redistribute the wealth to the upper 3% while leaving the country in ruins as jobs are shipped out and as corporations plunder the country, is underway.
While helping to spend the country into untenable debt and rolling out the red carpet to foreign investors and corporations who are steadily consuming everything in sight, I realize that you have to dispense with any program or initiative which would lend support to the elderly, that class of useless eaters so despised by so many of you.
While railing against Medicare and what it costs the country, you never made mention of what it costs the country to support you while you are in office and even when you leave. For someone whose existence is now predicated upon the parasitic relationship of elected officials dependent on taxpayers, I am surprised that you did not readily identify yourself and the rest of congress as an unsustainable drain on the economy. We can no longer afford to support you people, especially when you contribute virtually nothing to the economy or GDP while availing yourselves of special privileges, perks and financial enrichments.
If you believe that individuals of modest to moderate incomes should be able afford the uncontrolled extortionary healthcare insurance rates, the inflated medical industry charges, and the non-negotiated inflated costs of pharmaceuticals, AND! at the same time save massive portions of our income which is under attack constantly by the IRS as taxes just keep eating up more and more of our income just so that we have some kind of security when we get too old to work………….then I see no reason why you and your cohorts in the District of Criminals can’t do the same on your ever rising incomes which far exceeds what most of us whom you are targeting, earned.
There are so many places where cost saving cuts could be made and which would benefit the country as a whole, instead of just a few at the top, where I presume you would like to situate yourself. We could, for instance, close down the FDA, USDA, EPA that serve only corporate interests and which operate as “public service” agencies when we all know they are anything but. We could cut several of the spy agencies which blow billions each year spying on lawful US citizens as the paranoia of, a government out of control, grows.
You could put an end to the horrendous Homeland Security which exists to protect the corporation known as the U.S.A. a.k.a., The United States of America, from the citizens of the states.
You could write a bill making TSA evisceration of the 4th Amendment and the subsequent molestation and assault on the public, unlawful. We could save absolutely billions here.
Maybe we could cancel that nearly one billion slated for roving surveillance vans to be set upon our cities.
You could demand the end to the Security & Prosperity Partnership which prevents the securing of our southern border, causing millions of people to flock here illegally, and, people you expect us to support.
Maybe you could pen a bill capping the extortion rates of the insurance industry and make it a punishable crime to commit breach of contract after issuing policies they have little to no intention of honoring.
Oh. So you aren’t interested in really doing anything substantial?
I would like to offer you a deal. Here’s how it goes:
- You forfeit your fabulously luxurious, paid by taxpayers, health coverage, then,
- Forfeit your taxpayer-funded retirement that will be due you even if you are convicted of a felony or caught in a highly questionable sexual endeavor for which you cannot be prosecuted under House and Senate rules.
- Forfeit the payments that will be made to your spouse, just for being your spouse, while you were in office.
- How about voluntarily submitting yourself, to Obamacare?
- Ultimately, you could refuse any of the special perks provided to you due to your office and pay for your own health coverage, retirement, and whatever else you are siphoning off the public for your own personal use.
Now I’m sure you can see my argument. While you try to implement yet another action to further impoverish retired/elderly Americans, you yourself have absolutely no compunction about availing yourself of every perk, financial enrichment, special treatment or even unearned pay raises.
Personally congressman, you need to clean your own house, so to speak, before you come after ours.
WE actually paid for these benefits. WE actually worked for many years to support these programs and we did so as Medicare taxes and Medicare premiums were extracted from us. In addition we make huge co-payments.
What did you do to earn the inflated and bloated perks that you currently enjoy and will continue to enjoy even after you leave office?
Thanks to Bush the Dolt and the Medicare Reform Act which was supposed to save 150 billion but ended up costing an additional 750 billion, the neo-cons very nearly destroyed the system. But, that was the plan wasn’t it?
So the deal is this: You forfeit all your ill-gotten financial perks and we’ll discuss killing Medicare.
We have done our part…..we are just waiting for you to do yours.
When might we expect that?
