A month into one of the largest nuclear disasters in history, officials in both the Japanese and America government have continually downplayed the risks while independent groups have screamed bloody murder over the dangers of high and low level radiation.
Radiation has been found in milk, rainwater, and tap water throughout the United States as well as in certain areas of Europe.
In Hilo Hawaii, milk was tested that showed radiation at much higher levels then were previously acknowledged.
“New EPA milk samples in Hawaii show radiation in milk at 800% above limits for C-134, 633% above limits for C-137 and 600% above EPA maximum for I-131 for a total of 2033%, or 20.33 times, above the federal drinking water limits,” reported Alexander Higgins.
These tests are quietly being released while the corporate media continues to claim that radiation dangers are minimal and precautions are not needed.
Meanwhile, a French Research Body On Radioactivity has broken stride with the corporate controlled media/experts and released a stern warning.
“The risks associated with iodine-131 contamination in Europe are no longer ‘negligible,’ according to CRIIRAD, a French research body on radioactivity. The NGO is advising pregnant women and infants against ‘risky behaviour,’ such as consuming fresh milk or vegetables with large leaves,” reported euractiv.com.
The report went on to say that while the risks of prolonged exposure for vulnerable groups are no longer negligible, there was still no need to stay indoors or take potassium iodide.
Japanese Officials have gone on the record with their fears that radiation could continue to be released from the damaged Fukushima nuclear power plant for weeks and possibly months. Officials HAVE moved this disaster up to a level 7 type event which puts it on par or above Chernobyl.
One thing we do know is that a respected group of scientists have put out a forecast that shows a Cesium-137 high altitude radiation cloud concentrated over the U.S. West Coast on April 12th.
