American Newspaper Ads Warn Public about Global 5G and WiFi

Cities worldwide as well as entire countries have banned, delayed, and stopped 5G installation due to health and safety risks. American opposition to 5G (see 1, 2) continues to increase for a variety of reasons in addition to biological and environmental risks (see 1, 2, 3, 4). Federal agencies and reliable experts have warned that this technology also threatens jobs, national security, public safety, and weather forecasting accuracy (see 1, 2). Regardless, in August, Trump reintroduced his proposal to have a nationalized 5G plan. The Department of Defense (DoD) wants to own and operate it with Google. Legislators and organizations have voiced opposition to this particular scenario as well.

Recently, a group of organizations and individuals also pitched in to buy newspaper ads to publicize 5G and WiFi risks.

A collaboration of organizations and individuals published two full-page advertisements in the San Francisco Chronicle, a major West Coat newspaper, to inform the public of the clear and serious hazards of global Wi-Fi and 5G in the atmosphere — from satellites, drones, and balloons — and the 1000s of rockets required to launch the mega-constellations of satellites.

The ads ran November 22 and 29 in parallel to a sponsored story on the San Francisco Chronicle’s blog which was published November 25.

The blog was entitled “Global Wi-Fi and 5G – What is the environmental price tag to the Earth and life” The main ad sponsor is Free The Sky https://freethesky.org.

Companies are launching unprecedented numbers of rockets to put global Wi-Fi and 5G satellites into the sky. 100,000+ satellites, plus drones and balloons, are planned.

Industry and government have done little research, claiming the “big sky” can absorb any problems. And the FCC exempts these satellite networks from environmental review.

However, there are major problems:

Ozone destruction
Pollution: rocket exhaust gases, black carbon, alumina, other toxic chemicals
Fossil fuel use and climate impacts
Debris and satellite accumulation, collision risk
De-orbiting pollution, casualties and fires
RF-radiation impacts to humans, wildlife, plants, and trees
Loss of night sky, interference with astronomy
RF interference with GPS, airplanes, weather satellites
Global electrical circuit interference
Solar flare disruption to satellites and connected IoT network societies
Energy use

The Earth and sky together are one living organism. Harming the sky and Earth risks all life and future generations.

High-speed internet CAN be achieved without 5G (see 1, 2), without WiFi, and without satellites. But 5G has never really just been about faster internet. Verizon and the DoD have admitted that it’s about implementing other technology that many experts also say IS NOT safe – Autonomous Vehicles (AVs) (see 1, 2), Artificial Intelligence (AI), “Smart Cities”, etc.

In 2019, telecom executives gave U.S. congressional testimony that they had NO independent scientific evidence that 5G. Since 2018 there have been reports of people and animals experiencing symptoms and illnesses where 5G has been installed (see 1, 2, 3, 4). Of course, other sources of wireless emit harmful radiation too. Last year, the World Health Organization cautioned that high levels of Electromagnetic Radiation exposure (aka “Electrosmog”) could lead to health issues in a significant portion of the population. Aren’t enough people sick already?
