School Board Reviews Cell Tower Radiation Exposure Concerns after 18 Teachers Refuse to Work

Decades of research have already determined that exposure to Electromagnetic Fields (EMF) from cell towers and other wireless sources is biologically harmful.  This being the case, not everybody is going to be agreeable to living or working near a cell tower, including these teachers.

The Toronto District School Board  to review concerns about cell phone tower radiation after 18 teachers in North York refuse to work

Headlines in Canada read how the 18 school teachers are refusing to come to work due to cell tower radiation issues.  The Toronto District School Board (TDSB) says that it has arranged for a third-party consultant to review health concerns about radiation from a nearby cell phone tower and to “make recommendations for next steps” after several staff members at a Toronto high school refused to report for duty earlier this week.

Cynthia Nguyen, the principal of William Lyon Mackenzie Collegiate Institute in North York, stated to the school community that:

“We are writing to let you know that today, 18 staff members at William Lyon Mackenzie CI exercised their right to begin a work refusal process,” she wrote in a note. 

“This process involves the TDSB Occupational Health and Safety discussing concerns with the impacted staff to come to a resolution. In this situation, there are health and safety concerns about possible radiation exposure from a nearby cellphone tower.”

Several communities restrict cell towers near schools and the concern will only increase as the evidence is accumulating each day.
