In October, Activist Post published an article about Bluetooth technology, “Stick It In Your Ear? How Bluetooth Can Affect Your Eyes, Ears, Brain, and Everything Else.”
Research has already determined that exposure to all sources of cell phone and WiFi radiation can cause a wide variety of health problems, some of which can be disabling. So it’s not surprising that 250 scientists have signed a petition warning the public about this. There is a particular focus on Bluetooth devices because of how they are put inside ears. From DailyMailUK:
‘Since Bluetooth tends to be low-intensity it could open the blood-brain barrier, which evolved to keep large molecules out of the brain,’ explains Dr Moskowitz.
The concern there is ‘probably more neurological disorders and diseases as opposed to cancer,’ he adds.
Related research on cancer and EMF has also revealed that cell phone radiation – which is not unlike that which comes from Bluetooth may cause non-cancerous tumors to form along the nerve that connects the brain and the ear.
Plus, the magnetic field the two AirPods use to talk to each other must pass through the brain.
(OMG IT HAS TO PASS THROUGH THE BRAIN!)
‘From a precautionary standpoint, I would argue you shouldn’t experiment with your brain like this by keeping these kind of wireless headphones on your head or in your ears,’ says Dr Moskowitz.
‘You’re conducting a health experiment on yourself, and current regulations are completely oblivious to these kinds of exposures.’
Completely oblivious?
Some 250 have signed the petition, which warns against numerous devices that emit radio frequency radiation, which is used in WiFi, cellular data and Bluetooth.
AirPods in particular are concerning because they sit deeply enough within the ear canal to emit expose these fragile parts of the ear to dangerous among of radiation, some experts warn.
The scientific jury is still out on whether or not the particular devices can cause cancer, but animal studies on the kind of radiofrequency radiation that they emit have suggested a link to cancer.

Last year, further evidence that cellular transmissions may indeed cause certain kinds of cancer was published by the National Institutes of Health (NIH).
Now, scientists calling for more oversight and warnings for all manner of radiowave-based technologies are particularly concerned over the intensity and proximity of Bluetooth radiation to the human ear canal and brain.
The International Agency for Research on Cancer has declared electromagenetic field radiation a possible carcinogen.
WiFi, too, has been shown to pose cancer risks.
Wireless hearing aides (also inserted inside ears) have reported as causing undesirable effects in some users too.
Cell phone manufacturers have already warned shareholders that they may eventually be held liable for harm caused by their products and infrastructure. Insurance companies don’t seem to be interested in doing business anymore with telecom companies either.
Just because these products are legal doesn’t mean that they are safe.
