More Tribal Groups Join Lawsuit with NRDC Fighting FCC Rule Change for 5G Small Cell Towers Installation

There have been many reasons provided by countless health and security experts why the U.S. should drop out of this totally moronic and scary as hell “Race for 5G” and “The Internet of Things (IoT).”

If you aren’t familiar with “The Race for 5G,” it allows for possibly millions of small cell towers and related wireless infrastructure to be installed all over the country – including in front of homes. The Telecom Industry, Federal Communications Commission, and many elected officials keep insisting that this is what’s best for Americans. This would be laughable if it wasn’t so risky to health and national security.

Since 2004, The International Association of Firefighters has opposed the use of their stations as base stations for cell towers and antennas until it can be proven that this is NOT hazardous to their health. So how can small cell towers everywhere – including in front of homes -be what’s best for Americans?

Since last year, many health experts have also been publicly opposing the use of 5G technology. The list of opponents and the amount of public outcry continues to increase as 5G has been already deployed in various parts of the country already including New York and Ohio.

This week even more Native American tribal groups have signed onto a lawsuit along with the National Resources Defense Council (NRDC) challenging an FCC rule change speeds up the installation of 5G technology because

In March, the FCC voted ro streamline federal environmental and historic review procedures by removing permitting requirements for certain small 5G installations.
Previously, telecommunications companies needed to consult local Native American tribes and obtain reviews and permits from them before construction.
The FCC argued that, since the 5G installations are much smaller than a traditional cell tower, the permitting requirements were overly burdensome, adding tens of millions of dollars to the cost of bringing 5G service to the nation.

Permits to install harmful microwave emitting infrastructure everywhere is burdensome? What happened to “The Precautionary Principle”?

“The determination that plaintiff Indian tribe as class representative cannot review wireless small cell deployment, nor charge ‘upfront review fees’ or any ‘fees’ regarding Section 106 of wireless infrastructure deployments or other deployments, constitutes a change of policy by the federal defendants, as the federal defendants have allowed upfront review fees charged by the plaintiff Indian tribe and other Indian tribes for the last 12 to 14 years without objection,” their complaint states.

The FCC is supposed to protect the American public from The Telecom Industry (aka Big Wireless). So are our elected officials. Unfortunately, we continue being reminded on a daily basis that the exact opposite has been happening for 20+ years.

So what happened to Trump’s promise to “Drain The Swamp?” How did The FCC become immune from this? Where’s that promised legislation that prevents former government employees like ex FCC Chairman, Tom Wheeler, from immediately going back to work for industries like “Big Wireless”?

According to the FCC’s estimates, the regulatory changes to environmental and historic review could reduce the regulatory costs of deployment by 80 percent and cut the time needed to deploy in half. All of these changes are expected to have a positive effect on America’s position as a global leader in 5G innovation.

5G is for fools. The “Race for 5G” and “The Internet of Things (IoT)” has made it more obvious that the American people are up a creek without a paddle. We are sinking faster every day and we need to all work together right now to stop this.
