C’est Bon! Since 2009, France Has Been Proactive in Protecting Kids From Cell Phone Radiation. Now They Have Banned Student Smartphone Use in Schools.

The Telecom Industry (“Big Wireless”) has never said cell phones are safe. Cell phone manufacturers have been warning shareholders that they may eventually be held liable for the harm their products have caused. No one wants to insure them anymore.

What’s more: no “safe” level of cell phone or wireless WiFi radiation has still been determined for children or pregnant women.

For many years already, France has been very proactive about protecting children from harm caused by radiation exposure to mobile phones (cell and cordless).

In 2009, they passed this legislation:

All advertising of the devices to children under 12 is to be prohibited under the legislation – announced by the Environment Minister, Jean-Louis Borloo, last week – and he will also take powers to ban the sale of any phone designed to be used by those under six.

Even though in 2010 France originally banned cell phone use “during all teacher activity,” this new ban requires students ages 3 to 15 leave their phones at home or keep them turned off during the school day. The ban also extends to tablets, computers, and other Internet-connected devices. Teachers may choose whether they want to enforce the ban with older students.

We know today that there is a phenomenon of screen addiction, the phenomenon of bad mobile phone use… Our main role is to protect children and adolescents. It is a fundamental role of education, and this law allows it,” said Education Minister Jean-Michel Blanquer on French news channel BFMTV.

Children are exempt from the ban in the case of disabilities, extracurricular activities, or if phones are required for teaching purposes, according to CNN.

Additionally, the most recent study on extensive cell phone use shows that checking cell phones during lectures typically costs students half a grade on their final test scores. Another recent study stated that cell phone is likely linked to a dramatic increase in nearsightedness.

Also recently in France, scientists requested the immediate recall of millions of cell phones after government data revealed that 9 out of 10 phones tested exceed regulatory limits and what manufacturers had claimed.

Hats off to France and other countries who have put the health of citizens above the merciless business interests of “Big Wireless.”

The U.S. is not one of these countries even though legislators and government agencies have been aware of harm from exposure for many years already – especially regarding children.

American tech inventors, however, have been sending their children to private “low tech” schools and limiting their kids’ use at home while everyone else has been encouraged to introduce devices to infants and make public schools “high tech.” This has led to higher taxes and tragic results. Regardless, “Big Wireless” is still allowed to market products to children, for children, and to public schools despite many years of warnings by health experts.

Research has proven harm for decades already. Newer studies prove the same thing. So how do you feel about people who earn a living by deliberately hurting others and misrepresenting the truth? How do you feel about research continuing to be funded that promotes tech use among children?

There is no doubt that technology can be beneficial and educational. However, excessive use and exposure has already been proven to cause more harm than good – especially among children. So why won’t U.S. legislators and government agencies finally do something about this? It’s because they’ve been “captured” by “Big Wireless.”

It’s an inconvenient truth that exposure to all sources of cell phone and wireless WiFi radiation could be making you and your loved ones sick – now or in the future. It’s not just about cancer either.

There are documentaries available online that provide more details. For those who are still skeptical, if you haven’t even read “The Fine Print” on your cell phone and other wireless devices, you may want to at least do that.
