I had a good laugh the last time I went camping and there was no cellphone coverage at camp. Out on the lake fishing with two teenagers often checking to see ‘how many bars’ they had was amusing in a strange way.
A couple of months later one of those teens lost his phone in his home and in a distraught state said to me, “You don’t understand, my life is on that phone!” If I misplace my wallet, it is an inconvenience but not the end of my life.
What happened to us? If a huge Coronal Mass Ejection were to hit earth tomorrow and cell phone service went down for months it would be very enlightening for the masses. Those who can not put down their phone would get a disturbing education.
I don’t have a smart phone and don’t want one. I was in a doctors office last month and sitting in the waiting room, reading my book, I looked up and around at this room full of people and everyone had their heads down in the smartphone position. It was so weird I got up, told the receptionist I was going to sit outside and she could call me on my dumb phone when I needed to go into see the doctor. As I was going out the door I turned and looked, no one had moved an inch. Yea, the zombie apocalypse has arrived.
I don’t have one either. Old friends I’ve had for years now get upset with me because I’ve elected not to stay connected to them 24/7. One friend I have has two phones. Whenever we meet up for coffee she lays them out on the table so she can monitor them for some reason. You can’t have a normal conversation with her anymore, she’s barely there. The whole thing is incredibly boring, not to mention rude and stupid.
Couldn’t agree more. I dont have many friends anymore; thats how bad things are getting. I just decided I didn’t want to be around it anyway. Sad. But hey its working a treat for those desiring a NWO. Keep em’ occupied. The danger I see on the roads everyday with people driving while texting is just madness. Im not talking about a few people here. Being in vehicle high off the ground I can see what they are doing. I would say 8 out of 10 people just CAN NOT leave their phone alone. Thats just mental! But hey, Im the crazy one…
I know, Brett. So bizarre. I’m thinking the smart tech addicts are blasting down the Transhuman Highway (shall we call them Trannies? LOL) while the few of us smart enough to not hold EMF generators next to our brains all day will be in charge of keeping the human genome in tact, just in case anyone needs an actual human for something in the future.
Its friggin depressing really, lol!
