Undercover video released on Wednesday by animal rights organization, Mercy for Animals, shows how chickens are treated before being turned into McDonald’s famous Chicken McNuggets.
The graphic footage was filmed at T&S Farm in Dukedom, Tennessee by an investigator for Mercy for Animals, who applied for a job at the Tyson Foods-contracted farm earlier this year.
The covert activist, who worked at T&S in July and August, captured images of workers beating chickens with nails attached to makeshift clubs and stepping on the heads of live chickens. One employee can be heard on video asking, “You don’t work for PETA, do you?” before bludgeoning a chicken to death with a homemade spiked bat.
Both Tyson — who would use the chicken from the plant to supply McDonald’s with meat for their McNuggets — and McDonald’s have since distanced themselves from the Tennessee farm.
“Members of our animal well-being team are investigating, however, based on what we currently know, we are terminating the farmer’s contract to grow chickens for us,” said a Tyson spokesperson via email.
McDonald’s echoed those sentiments in a statement of its own:
We believe treating animals with care and respect is an integral part of a responsible supply chain and find the behavior depicted in this video to be completely unacceptable. We support Tyson Foods’ decision to terminate their contract with this farmer.
Despite the swift “action” by both corporations, this isn’t the first time the animal rights group has caught Tyson abusing animals. Just last month, Mercy for Animals released a video exposing the torture of chickens at a different Tyson Farm in Delaware.

“If slaughterhouses had glas walls, all people would be vegetarians” – said Paul McCartey.
Eating animal corpses is against human nature:
– our intestins are 8 m long
– we start digestion in mouth with enzyme from mouth- like all vegetarians;
– our oesophagus is small – not adapted for huge animals and meat;
– our pH in ventriculus coresponds to vegetarians – no nails and hair can be digested…
We love vegetarians, More meat for the rest of us.
So you’re a cannibalism people eater how stupidity ruined the law!
what and give up bacon? beat it peta lover
You never did a day’s work in your life!
Not true… man is omnivorous. We are designed to eat plant and animal material. Man also as most carnivores are predators… that is why our vision faces in one direction rather than prey that have a wider field of vision (eyes on the side of their heads). We have evolved to eat whatever is available.
I haven’t eaten at McDonald’s for years, not since I ordered a chicken sandwich and the chicken was green around the edges. If we only knew a fraction of what is in the food we buy, we wouldn’t be buying but growing it ourselves. Although, who knows what’s in the water we use and in or on the ground we would use to grow our own food. What a sad mess we have made or have allowed to be made of nature’s gift, our world.
ANY fast food is not good…
Your eating the spirits of abused birds! Chicken Americans afraid now to defend there own children’s and I’m guilty as we’ll see because CPS captured my children and I’m afraid?
I wish the vegetarians would quit with their sanctimonious hypocrisy. Plants are also divine conscious entities, just because they do not possess a central nervous system recognised by mainstream science, does not mean they don’t have feelings. I do realise that people need to eat, what people don’t need is the holier-then-thou attitude when comes to an individuals choice of sustenance. Save you righteous indignation for those who inflict unnecessary cruelty on all life, like the perpetrators in the video.
Not to mention all of the chemicals they put in them!
They’re just tenderizing the meat is all
It reminds me of Rom. 1:25 “they exchanged the truth of God for lies, and they revered and served
created things more than their Creator, to whom belong praises and
blessings to the eternity of eternities, amen.” What does Rom 1:26 say? “Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural sexual relations for unnatural ones” Interesting… so by denying worship to the Creator, and worshiping animals and trees instead, God lets them turn Homosexual. LOL sounds about right! All those progressive liberals- gay, green, fruits and nuts just like a bowl of Whole Foods cereal
on the other hand, in the Garden of Eden God told them that the nuts of trees and grains were to be their meat, also Daniel told the king he only wanted “pulses, vegetables and water” they all laughed at him, but in ten days he was stronger and healthier than the meat and wine guys.
At the risk of observing the obvious… Americans are comatose about human babies being chopped up, but wake up for chickens. Go figure.
This is why there is very little hope for America ever returning to greatness.
Very true Mark
Got bad news; working men are the elite and while you are polishing your nails.
Here’s some more “truth” about Mcnuggets. They have one of the highest levels [way beyond EPA MAX daily] of fluoride of any food [ powdered milk & eggs are highest]. This is because the chickens are mechanically deboned & mucgh of the bones are ground into the meat. Fluoride it attracted to calcium. Chickens are fed high doses of GMO grain which is heavily sprayed with F pesticides, fungicides, & rodentcides [so the rats don’t eat it in the grain bins].
Also if you watched famous chef Jamie Oliver’s Food Revolution” where he tried to educate USA school children on nutrition ; he showed them the crap & disgusting ingredients that went into the Mcnuggets. Then he fried them up into familiar shapes & they still were willing to eat them! He was floored at the stupidity. All the kids in other countries understood it , but not ours. Could it be 70 years of fluoride?
Grain is not sprayed with ‘rodentcides’ aka rat poison. Doing so would create a secondary poison hazard to any animal the grain is fed to. I live in Iowa and work with grains every day. No one sprays their grain with rat poison. GMO and herbicide/fungicide though you are correct on.
Rusty… these people do not live on farms, never will and have no idea how things operate.
So then how DO you keep the rats out of the fields & bins? When they cut the wheat field next to me there were a hundred rats that came onto my property & decimated my garden overnight.
As an aside; there is a guy online who has a bunch of rat terriers nicknamed the “Mongrel Hoard” that goes to farms & they will kill a hundred rats in a day for a small fee. From the pictures he posted they are the happiest mutts ever!
So I watched the video. These operators are removing culls… birds that are sick, damaged or otherwise unable to be used. How are they to be disposed of? Lethal injection? Maybe put on a special farm to live out the rest of their natural life? This is pretty much reality… those birds being removed will never end up in the human food chain… I did not see viable animals being treated in a cruel manner…. This is how our food is manufactured and pretty much has been for the past 40 – 50 years… it is the consumer demand and gluttony that makes things like this possible…. because I guarantee that the average american is too lazy to raise their own food.
