With a recent decision restricting the movement of the Syrian envoy to the UN inside the United States, it is now apparent that the Obama administration is incapable of controlling its affronts against foreign nations despite those nations having posed no threat to them.

During the midst of an intense crisis in Ukraine as well as the continuing Western-inspired tragedy in Syria, the United States government has now taken the irrational step of limiting the movement of the Syrian envoy to the United Nations, Bashar Al-Jaafari, to the distance of 25 miles within New York City.

The United States has applied similar restrictions against the ambassadors of both North Korea and Iran.

State Department spokeswoman, Jen Psaki, stated “We have delivered a diplomatic note to the Permanent Representative of the Syrian Mission to the United Nations in New York informing him that … he is restricted to a 25-mile travel radius.”

“U.N. delegates of certain countries are required to notify us or obtain permission prior to travel outside of a 25-mile radius. So this is not something that is out of the realm of what we’ve done before.”

A pro-death squad organization, Coalition for a Democratic Syria, expressed pleasure at the U.S. government’s decision to restrict the movement of Jaafari, stating that he has engaged in “a series of propaganda tours” within the United States in order to “mislead and sow discord” among Syrians living in the U.S.

Although the true reasons behind the travel restrictions have not been announced by the State Department, such a development is perhaps due to the fact that the administration does not want any officials of the Syrian government to have the ability to provide a different narrative of the Syrian tragedy than the one promoted by the State Department and its mouthpiece media outlets.

Any further developments arising out of this situation will continue to be monitored closely.
