Wyoming Senator Bruce Burns Wants To Reinstate Executions By Firing Squad

Freedom Firing Squad?

One of the most prominent politicians in the state of Wyoming wants to brings back the option of executing inmates by the means of firing squad.

That is, only if the state runs out of doses of lethal injections, which are apparently harder than ever to obtain.

The Republican State Senator Bruce Burns has formally introduced a bill proposing the use of this form of capital punishment if such an occurrence takes place.

To put this seemingly preposterous proposal into perspective, firing squad is the primary form of execution in all of George W. Bush’s “Axis of Evil” countries (Iraq, Iran, North Korea) and is also the primary form of execution in two of Condoleezza Rice’s “Outposts of Tyranny”, Cuba and Belarus.

Most notably, Belarus is the only remaining country in Europe which utilizes capital punishment of any kind, and has been called the “Last Dictatorship in Europe“. Are these the kind of countries that the state of Wyoming wants to emulate? You know, the places our government is always working around the clock to bring lots and lots of “freedom”??
