The US government is pouring money into a technology called fMRI, functional magnetic resonance imaging, which measures changes in localized brain activity over time by watching blood flow. And it can now be used to infer information about our memories. It can tell things like what we have actually seen or experienced. Though no court has admitted fMRI results as evidence yet, the signs clearly point in that direction.
