This is the security theater people are continuing to trade their liberty for here in America.
While Obama is busy finalizing plans to airstrike Syria, and the House of Reps just passed a resolution to arm, fund and train “appropriately vetted” Syrian rebels, in the meantime high level law enforcement have been given a censored alert bulletin that ISIS is operating a terrorist cell out of Juárez, just across the unsecured U.S.-Mexico border from El Paso, Texas and that potential terrorist attacks involving car bombs and other explosive devices are imminent.
Judicial Watch first reported on the terror alert back on August 29, then updated on August 31 when Ft. Bliss ramped up their security based on the alert.
Now JW is reporting that El Paso Rep. Beto O’Rourke is calling around to FBI, DHS and border patrol to basically intimidate anyone away from talking to the media about the ISIS situation in Juárez. The calls were allegedly followed by a memo that went down the chain of command “threatening to terminate or criminally charge any agent who speaks to media of any kind.”
Rep. O’Rourke’s camp has denied this, with John Meza, his director of communications, claiming “We don’t do that,” but obviously a bunch of other law enforcement sources from random various offices around the area didn’t get together and make up the same story just to randomly target some House Rep…what would be the purpose of that?
The Obama administration is still denying that ISIS is even in Mexico, and Homeland Security refuses to make a statement on this.
How does this situation make any sense? We are being told we just HAVE to bomb ISIS in Syria for national security reasons, but no one is allowed to even discuss the much closer and much more direct ISIS threat apparently operating mere minutes across our purposefully unprotected border?
