Tennessee Considers Bill to Stop Businesses from Discriminating Against Patrons Without Masks or Vaccinations

By Phillip Schneider

A group of legislators in Tennessee have introduced a bill which would bar businesses from discrimination against individuals who choose not to wear a mask or get a Covid vaccination.

The Medical Non-Discrimination Business and Consumer Act (SB 0320 / HB 0794) would give the freedom of medical choice to individuals who make the personal decision to not wear a mask in public or get a potentially harmful and experimental mRNA-altering covid shot.

According to the bill’s summary, wearing a mask or getting any kind of medical treatment should be treated like any other characteristic pertaining to discrimination against an equal access to public life, such as race, sex, or religious belief.

Under present law, it is a discriminatory practice for a person to deny an individual the full and equal enjoyment of a public accommodation on the grounds of race, creed, color, religion, sex, age, or national origin… This bill adds the wearing or use of a medical device and whether a person has received medical treatment to the grounds for which it is a discriminatory practice for a person to deny an individual the full and equal enjoyment of a public accommodation.” [SOURCE]

In other words, this bill would prevent grocery stores, gyms, movie theaters, restaurants and other businesses from requiring face masks or proof of vaccination in order to enjoy the full privilege of their goods, services, or accommodation in alignment with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

The popular radio host and financial guru Dave Ramsey, who supports the bill, has correctly stated that “for many Tennessee business owners, the fear of the risk of being sanctioned, fined, or even shut down by out of control local officials was greater than the fear of the actual virus. He also said quite precisely that since mandates began, “business owners were also required to become agents of the government in enforcing Covid-19 mandates” which they may or may not believe in.

Although rarely mentioned in the mainstream press, masks come with their own downsides. Dentists have warned about an increase in tooth decay and gingivitis, scientists have discovered that microbes which cultivate in a humid environment can contribute to lung cancer, and patients with asthma can develop hypoxia due to their use.

Because of out of control bureaucrats, many have more reason to fear the government than they do the virus they are supposedly being protected against by edict. This bill is a major leap for Tennessee to becoming a truly free American state.

When it comes down to it, what you wear over your face or have injected into your body is your own personal decision which nobody has the right to deny you essential goods or services for. You have the right as an adult to make risk assessment decisions based on your own beliefs.

That’s called freedom.
