Leaked Documents Reveal Israel Attempt To Capitalize On Hariri Resignation; Possible Collusion With KSA

By Brandon Turbeville

Shortly after the Saudi crackdown began and was followed up by the resignation of Lebanese president Saad Hariri, it was noted by many researchers and alt media journalists that Hariri’s bizarre method of vacating his post was influenced by Saudi Arabia for the purpose of weakening Hezbollah and Iran in Lebanon. In addition, I suggested in my previous article that it is highly unlikely that KSA would engage in such a dangerous and wide-reaching action without coordination with the United States and Israel.

Documents have now been obtained and subsequently released by Israeli media outlets that reveal possible evidence of coordination and cooperation between Saudi Arabia and Israel as it relates to Iran and Hezbollah.

Barak Ravid, the Israeli reporter who first obtained the documents and senior diplomatic correspondent for Channel 10 News, reported the following on Twitter on November 6:

I published on channel 10 a cable sent to Israeli diplomats asking to lobby for Saudis/Harir and against Hezbollah. The cable sent from the MFA in Jerusalem [Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs] to all Israeli embassies toes the Saudi line regarding the Hariri resignation.
  • The Israeli diplomats were instructed to demarch their host governments over the domestic political situation in Lebanon – a very rare move.
  • The cable said: “You need to stress that the Hariri resignation shows how dangerous Iran and Hezbollah are for Lebanon’s security.”
  • “Hariri’s resignation proves wrong the argument that Hezbollah participation in the government stabilizes Lebanon,” the cable added.
  • The cable instructed Israeli diplomats to support Saudi Arabia over its war with the Houthis in Yemen. The cable also stressed: “The missile launch by the Houthis towards Riyadh calls for applying more pressure on Iran & Hezbollah.”

A rough Google Translate translation of the diplomatic cable is as follows:

To the Director-General: you are requested to urgently contact the Foreign Ministry and other relevant government officials [of your host country] and emphasize that the resignation of Al-Hariri and his comments on the reasons that led him to resign illustrate once again the destructive nature of Iran and Hezbollah and their danger to the stability of Lebanon and the countries of the region.

Al-Hariri’s resignation proves that the international argument that Hezbollah’s inclusion in the government is a recipe for stability is basically wrong. This artificial unity creates paralysis and the inability of local sovereign powers to make decisions that serve their national interest. It effectively turns them into hostages under physical threat and are forced to promote the interests of a foreign power – Iran – even if this may endanger the security of their country.

The events in Lebanon and the launching of a ballistic missile by the signatories to the Riyadh agreement require increased pressure on Iran and Hezbollah on a range of issues from the production of ballistic missiles to regional subversion.

Channel 10’s commentary reads that “In the cable, Israeli ambassadors were also asked to convey an unusual message of support for Saudi Arabia in light of the war in which it is involved in Yemen against the Iranian-backed rebels.”

The diplomatic cable demonstrates an undeniable desire to capitalize on the Hariri resignation for the purpose of weakening Hezbollah and Iran and combating their influence in the region and the rest of the world. In the cable, the Israelis wish to paint Iran and Hezbollah as responsible for any and all chaos in Lebanon as a result of the Hariri resignation as well as for the launching of a missile by Houthi militants toward the airport in Riyadh. Thus, the propaganda narrative desired by the Israelis is that both Iran and Hezbollah are forces of instability and destabilization in the region.

It has become increasingly clear to anyone observing the situation in the Middle East that Israel is attempting to bring down Hezbollah in Lebanon and possibly engage Iran militarily in the near future. As always, it will do so by coordinating with Saudi Arabia’s influence and financial assistance as well as the military might of the United States.

  1. Just a little information regarding Jerusalem. Jerusalem was ceded to the Vatican and the U.N. in the 93 Oslo accords.

The Old City became The Holy See’s possession,
Jerusalem in its entirety came under U.N. protection.

Yossi Beilen and then Foreign Minister Shimon Peres signed secret articles with the Vatican which have been leaked by French,Italian and Israeli press.
In one instance….the details where plastered on the front page of Haaretz.
Rabbi’s assailed Peres who then spun lies and sent them away deceived.

The Vatican legitimately owns 60% of the land property in Jerusalem….plus the Holy sites now.

In March ’94, the Israeli newsmagazine Shishi published an interview with Mark Halter, a French intellectual and close friend of Shimon Peres. He said he delivered a letter from Peres to the pope the previous May, within which Peres offered the Vatican hegemony over the Old City of Jerusalem. The article detailed Peres’s offer which essentially turned Jerusalem into an international city overseen by the Holy See.

In March ’95, the radio station Arutz Sheva announced that it had received a cable sent by the Israeli Embassy in Rome to the Foreign Ministry in Jerusalem outlining the handover of the Old City of Jerusalem to the Vatican. Two days later Haaretz published the cable on its front page. The Foreign Ministry explained that the cable was genuine but someone had whited out the word “not.” ie “We will not transfer authority to the Vatican.”
