Awakening to the future: Writing Contest

A whole new world was opened up to me back in the early ’90s when I first read a David Icke book. Suddenly it was like being turned upside down, where everything I had believed in was suddenly in question. Could it really be that I’d been lied to, or even worse we had all been lied to for so long? Suddenly I wanted to question who I really was. My identity, my purpose for being here, on this planet at this time.

As a child and young adult, I’d had all sorts of visions about the future, they never made sense to me at the time. After all, I was being told by the adults around me that everything was as it ‘should’ be and that my ‘dreaming’ was just my imagination running wild. Take this one, I saw very clearly in my minds eye that the trees that were being polluted, animals dying (particularly sheep and cows). Years later we had sudden oak tree death and a break out of foot and mouth disease. And at the end of the vision I saw massive storms and earthquakes, people dying in vast numbers – but there was one ray of hope. And I was told this was the word ‘truth’. When people knew and understood the truths in the world, it would open up to great changes. All this didn’t make make much sense to me at the time it happened, until of course I starting reading David’s books.

I started asking questions, thinking, studying books and the media. Gradually I got it, yes we were being lied to in a great way. Nothing added up and made sense any more, except the feeling that we could change what was happening to us here now.

There is a deep connectedness we have to each other and when enough people begin to understand that they have the power to change things, then things will indeed change. Change is part of the universal law, things regain balance to enable the continuation of life. The dominant ‘powers’ want very much to keep things unbalanced, to encourage chaos so we look to the best leader who says the right things to reassure us. But in fact all they ensure is that we become more and more separate from each other and from the world around us. They don’t want us to care about each other, to have empathy with nature and all living things. They very much want us to fight and have wars, because they, not us always profit from them.

I write this now as a mother and grandmother who is striving to help this our world, because of this visions I got and what I’ve learnt along the way. Although life finds me disabled, I can still write and speak my truth. I am an activist for the silenced. And believe me the government would love to shut me up. Here in the UK they are demonising the sick and disabled, actively taking away our benefits and the help we rely on daily to survive. Many of us are dying because of this injustice, some don’t know what to do but live in constant fear. Others are actively engaged in campaigning for the real truth to come out, away from all the lies that are being told about us.

Personally I know I will get through it somehow. I will survive and bring as many others as I can along with me. These are truly scarey but very exciting times we are living through. I can see a brighter horizon arriving for us all, as long as we strive for that as our outcome.
